Dade Lodge

Tourism and nature conservation can become powerful drivers of economic growth and sustainable development. The Dja Reserve is home to some of the world's most iconic wildlife and ecosystems, and these natural assets are key drivers of tourism.

Tourism based on the preservation and protection of nature and wildlife offers BAKA communities a unique opportunity to directly benefit from the protection of their natural environment. They can contribute to the management, conservation and tourism around protected areas and to benefit from it, they become guardians of their own environment.

We remain convinced that this model could create jobs, improve the livelihoods of forest people and foster a sense of ownership over conservation efforts. It is a virtuous circle where ecotourism is the driving force behind the protection of wildlife and the conservation of the forest ecosystem.

This is how the creation of a lodge in the middle of the forest could create an attraction for tourists who wish to stay in the middle of the forest in a setting well designed for this purpose. Dade Lodge is a camp of 10 huts in the heart of the Dja Reserve, offering tourists a real journey through the heart of the virgin equatorial forest with activities such as gathering, hunting and above all………………………… .
