A nursery of Non-Timber Forest Products

As part of the empowerment of indigenous peoples in the Commune of Messok, the Dadé Kaolé Association has launched a large information and awareness campaign for the Baka people in the 13 camps that make up this administrative district.

This is how a nursery for non-timber forest products (NTFP) was established in the Ndjontal camp. The aim was more to show them the benefits of reforestation of products such as wild mangoes, moabi, djansan, and rondelles, as well as the necessity to join the ongoing project of the NTFP cooperative being created. The field visit by the Principal Coordinator, Mr. Nkopani Iveric, to Ndjontal on March 28, 2025, was intended to inquire about the progress of the Ndjontal pilot nursery in order to see how this experience could be replicated in the other 12 camps.
