This is a major first in Cameroon, in the East Region and more specifically in the Lomié District. Indeed, the MTN Foundation, through its 21 Days program, is coming to the aid of the indigenous Baka people and the populations of the localities of Lomié, Messok, and Ngoyla with the establishment of a multimedia center in the city of Lomié. This digital center embodies MTN's ongoing commitment to getting closer to its customers and especially to implementing its "Everywhere you go" policy: As if to say
Winner of the MTN 21Days competition in the Eastern Region, the Dadé Kaolé Association is already pleased to provide indigenous peoples with access to information and cultural technologies. This center will allow them to catch up on the backlog accumulated in this area.
“This multimedia center will bring us closer to the various NGOs and international organizations we work with. We will now be able to organize video conferences and reduce our travel to Yaoundé. We thank the MTN Foundation for this gesture of solidarity.” NKOPANI Iverick, Principal Coordinator of the Dadé Kaolé Association and Chief of the Baka Community of Ndjangué.
Founded in 2005, the MTN Foundation contributes to the well-being of communities by working in the areas of health, art and culture, and the environment with very impressive results.
