38 birth certificates produced and distributed to the Baka

Under the facilitation of the GBABANDI platform, the Dadé Kaolé Association deployed throughout the year 2024 to establish birth certificates for the Baka populations of the Commune of Messok. This initiative, praised by the Sub-Prefect and the Mayor of the said commune, culminated on December 7, 2024, with the distribution of 38 birth certificates to the Baka populations. Although this initiative addresses the issue of unregistered births among the Baka, there are still many challenges to overcome, including the lack of available registers for declarations in the camps and the lack of logistical and transportation resources to carry out these activities.
