At the invitation of the platform GbabandiThe Dadé Kaolé Association participated in the community workshop for the East sector, which took place from May 12 to 13, 2025, in Mbalmayo as part of the follow-up meetings of the Steering Committee for the Indigenous Navigator Project Phase 2.
Present alongside members of several other indigenous peoples' associations, the Chief Coordinator, Mr. NKOPANI, came to share with them the various achievements and challenges encountered in the implementation of the said project. In addition to the establishment of 38 birth certificates, the Dadé Kaolé Association also collected socio-economic information on behalf of the Indigenous Navigator platform in the localities of Lomié and Messok. One of the challenges faced is the lack of transportation means, which makes the work tedious and costly.
The information collected and placed on the platform aims to share information about the various communities of indigenous peoples and, above all, to create alliances and partnerships.
Launched as part of a pilot action implemented from 2014 to 2016 with the support of the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR), the Indigenous Navigator Project aims to develop a global portal, collect data in the communities of 11 pilot countries, and fund community pilot projects based on the gaps identified in the implementation of the rights of indigenous peoples.
